— handle design completely spoils a brilliant tool!
Great trimmer with good capacity and minimum battery use but a huge design flaw.Handle/grip is on the wrong side and you are unable to cut flush along the hedge side without burying your hand in the hedge - might be OK with a soft immature hedge but impossible with an established one. Not sure why the handle is not pivotable. Completely spoils a brilliant tool!

— Very sturdy tool
Solid in construction and does the job first class

— Too heavy
I am a Ryobi enthusiast, and have been happy with all my equipment except this one. All the weight is in the cutting head and it is difficult to use at a distance. If the motor and battery had been together at the bottom leaving only the blade at the top it would have been much easier to use. A young person will probably have no problems!

— Good tool
Less vibration than a petrol lighter and has the reach as well ....

— Very handy
easy to clip in battery and use without having to use cables, bit heavy at first but you get used to the balance

— A little patience
So i have a traditional wired hedge cutter but after moving I needed something that was battery operated due to the length of garden and on a pole due to the hight of the hedges. I read a lot of reviews on this and overall am very glad I took the plunge.
Couple of things to note. As a few people mention when extended it is pretty heavy but I did find you soon work out how to manage this. The other thing was you need a little patience. Where as a mains power cutter can be thrown into the hedge and it will usually shred what ever is in the way, with this you need to go a little slower as it isn't as powerful. It will cut as well, you just need to be a little slower and more patient..
Overall I am very happy with it and now find myself using this for jobs that I could use the old wired cutter on simple because there is no hassle of cablesand ironically when extended you can get a nice sweep on a hedge which helps keep it smooth.

— A Great trimmer
This is a great hedge trimmer, but it would be noted it is top-heavy so if you don't have much arm strength this may not be for you. Anyone else go for it, it's fantastic

— Good, cost effective, but heavy
Had this a few months now and in general it does a good job on the hedges and let’s me reach the high spots. However, having used petrol trimmers before, this battery trimmer is incredibly heavy at the cutting end, not well balanced. This is part because the motor is in the head and the battery that is was provided with 2ah provided little counter balance. For the frequency I will use this, it will surface, but if looking for a more frequent use, I would look at other options.
