— 4 years okay and then no brushes are available
After years the brushes are gone and they are not even available as a spare parts. Instead of buying brushes for a few euro I need to spend money on a new machine now...

— Ryobi Quality Hedge Trimmer
Bought this to replace my Bosch Hedge trimmer as I found it was too long for comfortable use. This Ryobi 500w corded hedge trimmer is excellent -suitable in length and also 22mm cut width. Good value for money as corded and highly Recommend it.

Disappointed that the trimmer only cut the smallest growth and not anything woody. This left the hedge uneven. I didn’t expect it to cut large growth, but it wouldn’t anything but the smallest growth. I had to
use secateurs for everything else.

I purchased this hedge trimmer to replace my old one that gave up on me. I have only used it once but I found it to be lightweight and gave a good clean cut. As I have to cut three hedges this did the job effortlessly and with its 50 cm blade I could reach all over the hedge. I would therefore have no hesitation in recommending this product. In addition I thought it was competitively priced.

My B&D trimmer finally gave up. Considered Bosch and Ryobi as replacements and chose the Ryobi due to price, power advantage, weight and comfort of grip and also cutting thickness (better than the Bosch). Used the "Roy" on a thick holly hedge and I'm so pleased! It's fantastic! Light, easy to use, slices through thick holly branches with ease and did the job so quickly. One of my best buys so far. I'm sure the Bosch is good but the Ryobi exceeds my hope's and expectations.

Admittedly, this replaced a 40-year-old Black and Decker 30cm hedge trimmer, but for £50 (at my local Homebase) it has proved to be a superb product. My hedge didn't know what hit it! Definitely recommended. Feels sturdy and will, I imagine, last a long time.
