If reading this review, please note that I am very much a beginner.
I have tried four samples of the R18CSP circular saw (so full marks to Customer Services, who tried to help), all with the same problem.
The blade is offset , ie not parallel to, the sides of the baseplate. This cannot be adjusted.
The baseplate is 260mm long. The deviation of the line of the blade is 2mm from parallel over the length of the baseplate.
Ryobi have inspected two of the saws, and say both were “found to be within their parameters".
I have not been able to make satisfactory cuts with the saw (note my opening comment).
I would not recommend this saw, and, particularly if you are a beginner, advise inspection to check the alignment, or seek advice from an expert, before purchase.
I submitted this review to Ryobi for their comment. They have not replied after 10 days,

Brilliant for the price

Bought this to cut up sheets of 18mm OSD board I was needing to do a project and it performed very well. Its easy to set depth of blade for cutting. The only downside was it doesn't come with a bag, hence the 4 stars

As with all Ryobi One tools, you know what you are getting before you open the box. All the range is built to last and designed to accomplish its job well. Switching the battery between tools is great.
