This sander is supplementary sander to my mains powered sander, as I often do some sanding away from a mains supply which involves the use of a long extension cable, as a result saves time setting up & packing away. The tool itself is much lighter even with the battery fitted, It is not as powerful as a mains powered sander (Which is to be expected) however, It does do the job very well. If I can make one suggestion, If any future purchasers intend to do a lot of sanding I would recommend the purchase of at least one extra battery to provide continued use.

I already have a mains belt sander(Now past its best) so I decided to add to my collection of Ryobi 18 volt tools. As expected it is not as powerful as a mains belt sander but still does the job, It is a lot lighter therefore less tiering on the arms. This tool like all Ryobi 18 volt tools is most useful when there in no access to mains power. The only point I would make to potential purchasers is that if you intend to use it for long periods or on hardwoods purchase a second battery. (I have 8 spare batteries and can use them all if I am on a big job) Overall, good tool, does the job, I would recommend this tool.

This is the first belt sander that I've bought, after using it I now realise that its a fantastic bit of kit and like all my other Ryobi tools works really well.

This is the latest addition to my One+ range of tools and like all the others it doesn't fail to impress, it is well made, easy to operate and works well.

I'm a Ryobi one+ fan, unfortunately I'm not that impressed with this sander, it just isn't fast enough. My friend has the elctric 24ov version and it's much better. Iv'e given it 2 stars because it can be used anywhere but I'm not sure I should give it that. Now if it was the 240v version it would get 5 stars. Wich I'd got that one now... Sorry Ryobi
