— My favourite work tool
I bought this saw for home diy to add to my growing ryobi collection and have ended up using it for work first. Its first trip out was 120' up a scaffold cutting scaffold boards to size and it did this with no problems and now it goes to work with me every day

— Light and fast
I originally bought this saw for the sole purpose of getting a load of 6x4 foot 18mm ply in a hatchback, but have found endless uses for it ever since.
I have the 4Ah battery packs, and this saw runs all day on one. Add to that the fact that it is light, tactile and (relatively) quiet, and this tool is a pleasure to use.
The blade is a super thin 1.5mm kerf, which I assume is for power saving reasons, but actually results in a really neat cut, with no tearing or chipping. The narrow blade also means that you can safely take very thin slices off things. We recently recarpeted the living room, meaning that the door was approx 3mm too big. No problem. This saw took that sliver away with ease, leaving an edge so clean that no "making good" was required.
Given that I bought this for a one off sheet ply boxing task, I've used it loads. As long as you keep in mind that it's an 18v light saw, and hence refrain from forcing it through wood, it's great. Let it cut its way through, and it is susprisingly capable.
If this broke, I'd immediately buy another. No question about it.

— Nice little saw
Bought this to keep in the boot of my car to cut timber to fit in the car. I actually use it in my workshop in preference to my mains saws, especially when cutting ply and MDF. The light weight, accuracy with the narrow blade and the fact that the blade is "left hand drive" (makes much more sense for right handed users as you can watch the blade more easily) make it a delight to use.The smaller batteries don't last long and the supplied charger takes forever. The best option is to buy 2 x 4ah batteries and the fast charger. This is not a cheap option but you get what you pay for. Overall I am very impressed.
